Allan Lee Chua

I am a North Carolina licensed attorney living in Charlotte, North Carolina. My goal is to build a career in securities regulation, and I am seeking opportunities to grow in public or private sector positions. I currently work for LPL Financial in a group whose focus is regulatory response and I am preparing to take the FINRA Series 7 exam.

During law school, I held internships with a real estate litigator and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission: Enforcement Division. I graduated from Charlotte School of Law Magna Cum Laude where I was involved with Order of the Crown, Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, LGBT Legal Society, Iraqi Refugee Assistance Project, and I also participated in the Community and Economic Development: Entrepreneurship Clinic.

After law school, I was an Attorney Fellow with Legal Services of Southern Piedmont's Family Support and Health Care Program. I worked to help low-income clients access public benefits and restore wrongfully terminated public benefits.

I like to remain involved with my local community by being a member of local affinity bars, participating in pro bono projects, volunteering with local organizations, and I'm always looking for new ways to contribute my time, talent and resources to our community.

Outside of my professional life and career goals, I enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures, cooking, playing tennis, and participating in outdoor activities -- the National Whitewater Center is my favorite place in Charlotte.
